Congratulations to two of our senior students, Harekam & Miguel, on getting accepted into the SHAD Canada program!
Shad Canada is a STEAM and entrepreneurship program that accepts students with high aptitudes for risk taking, curiosity, excellence and resilience, and prepares them to take on social and economic challenges. We are so excited for you!
The Grade 11 Physics class hosted an EGG DROP yesterday!
They each designed and built something to protect their egg from cracking when hitting the ground. The whole school came out to watch as Mr. Dinnick dropped their design from different heights to determine a winner! What a fun class project!
This past Saturday, our Parents’ Association put on a very successful event, Hogwarts in Caledon! It was the ultimate family-friendly event where potions were crafter, spellcasting was practiced & Quidditch games were enjoyed! Harry Potter was in attendance, as well as Dumbledore! The Parents’ Association want to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for making this day a truly exceptional and unforgettable experience!
Thank you again to our sponsors: Caledon Professional Centre, C. Valley Group, Timeless Stonework & CI Private Wealth! This event would not be possible without them! Your contributions have not gone unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment.
The grade 2-7’s took a trip to the Science Centre where they explored all things science! We even got to go into a space simulator to land a ship on Mars and learn more about simple machines! What a fun day had by all!
As we get closer to the end of the school year, more of our Grade 12 students have decided where they are taking their next steps! Chase has accepted his offer to University of Toronto for a Bachelor of Applied Science! Chase was also recognized as a University of Toronto Scholar, which gives him a $7500 scholarship. Way to go, Chase!
King’s partnered with an excellent local barn, Benchmark Equestrian, to offer introductory horseback riding lessons. Every Thursday afternoon, our King’s bus drives our students to the barn where they learn everything about horses! What a fun extra-curricular opportunity!
As more university acceptances have been rolling in for our grade 12’s, Amalia is the second to accept her first choice university! Amalia is headed to the University of York to study a Bachelor of Science in Nursing! Way to go, Amalia!
Every year since the near beginning of King’s, there has always been an egg hunt! Students scrambled down the hill to collect plastic eggs and trade them in at the Bunny Hop Shop for chocolate and other treats!! Only condition was that all players couldn’t use a bag, but rather only their clothing pockets!! What a fun day!
Mr. Mitchner’s Grade 10 science class is competing for the title of the best-grown sunflower! Each student was given the same seed, soil and pot to grow their sunflower, but are welcome to do what they please to encourage it to grow!
Stay tuned for updates as the sunflowers start to grow!!
ATTENTION: Several regional buses have been cancelled due to icy and dangerous driving conditions. In the interests of everyone’s safety, King’s College School will be closed today for both in-class and online learning.
Classes will resume as normal on Wednesday, January 18th.
